What coaches, clubs and schools ask us most — including what Chess Classrooms does not do. If your question is not here, ask us.
Anyone who teaches chess to a group of students: an individual coach with a few batches, a chess club or academy with several coaches and branches, and schools that run chess as a class or an activity. It runs the teaching (live classes, homework, games, tournaments) and the running of it (students, attendance, fees, reports) in one place, under your own name.
See for individual coaches, for schools and every feature.
No. It works in the web browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Students can add it to their phone's home screen and open it like an app.
Yes. Online classes use the shared board with built-in video; in-person classes use the same attendance, homework, games and reports. Many clubs do both.
In your classes, in your own tournaments, with each other when you pair them, and against the computer at six levels. It is not an open public playing site: games are among your own students. Students can bring in their lichess and Chess.com games, or paste or upload any game as PGN, to have it analysed.
Games are analysed with Stockfish 19, running in the browser. Each analysis shows accuracy, labels every move (from brilliant to blunder), the better move where there was one, and the opening. A coach can analyse a study game once and every student sees the same report, with the coach's own notes.
Nearly two lakh (200,000) rated puzzles from the Lichess puzzle database, matched to each student's level, plus ready-made courses, lessons and self-marking quizzes. You can add your own lessons, quizzes, puzzles and games too.
You add them one by one or import a list from a spreadsheet — or they sign up themselves with your club code. Each student has their own sign-in.
Students you add or import pay nothing to us — you collect your own fees from them as you do now. A student who signs up on their own through the student sign-up page pays a small one-time platform fee (currently ₹99, unless your club sets its own amount).
Fees are raised for each student automatically. Parents can pay by scanning a UPI QR code for your own UPI ID and uploading the payment screenshot for you to approve, or online by UPI or card through Razorpay with your own Razorpay account. Cash and bank payments can be recorded by hand. The money comes straight to you; we never hold it.
Yes, by email: a reminder when a fee is overdue, and a class reminder the day before. Each kind can be switched off. Reminders are not sent by WhatsApp automatically; for tournaments the system writes a ready-to-send WhatsApp announcement you can forward.
Parents see what the student sees by signing in with the student's account. You can also print or save each student's progress report as a PDF — attendance, rating, puzzles, quizzes — with your name on it, and share links to a game, a tournament's live page or a certificate. There is no separate parent login.
Yes. A tournament can be opened to outside players, with an entry fee paid online if you choose. Anyone can follow it on its public live page — boards, clocks, standings and results — without signing in.
Every plan has every feature; plans differ in how many students, coaches and branches they take and how much live video is included:
Prices are in Indian rupees. Full details on the pricing page.
Any plan can be tried with full features for 30 days for ₹1. You can switch plan yourself during the trial. Nothing renews by itself.
After the grace period the account pauses — nothing is deleted straight away. Pay any time and it reopens with everything intact. If it stays unpaid, its data is permanently deleted 30 days after the pause; we remind you before then.
Yes. Every subscription invoice is a GST invoice from ASAP Solutions, showing our GSTIN.
Against the invoice in your Subscription page: online through Razorpay, or by UPI or bank transfer to us.
Yes, on every plan: your name, logo and colours, your own sign-in link, and a public page for your club at chessclassrooms.com/your-name.
Yes. Every club's students, games, fees and records are kept apart; no other club can see them. Student contact details are never shown on public pages.
Yes. Ask us and we send your students, attendance, fees and games as spreadsheets. Certificate lists can be downloaded from your panel at any time.
